Abruzzo Travel Guide exists because I believe this region deserves more attention. Too many travellers skip Abruzzo on their way to more famous Italian destinations, missing out on mountain villages, authentic food traditions, and landscapes that rival anywhere else in Italy.

I’m here to change that by sharing detailed guides and honest recommendations for travellers seeking real Italian experiences. Abruzzo is my home, and I think there are many travellers out there looking to discover Italy in a more unique way.

A little bit about me

I’m a travel writer and history enthusiast who moved to Italy to immerse myself in the ancient ruins, art, architecture and centuries of history. I live in Chieti, a historic city in Abruzzo that gives me front-row access to everything this region has to offer.

Work and educational background

My background in history, communication and economic development shapes how I approach travel writing. I earned a history degree because I’ve always been fascinated by the stories behind places. How past events continue to influence culture, architecture and traditions today. Communication training taught me how to write for different audiences and create content that connects with readers.

I spent over a decade working in economic development for various government organizations. My roles included destination marketing, tourism promotion, business attraction and sector development.
