Welcome to the Abruzzo Travel Guide

Welcome to the Abruzzo Travel Guide. If you’re planning a trip to Italy and want a region with real character, fewer crowds, and a mix of mountains and sea, Abruzzo is a great choice. It’s a region you’ll fall in love with as much as we did.

I live in Abruzzo, and I built this site to help you plan your trip with practical tips, local context, and the kind of details you only learn by spending time here. If you’re not sure where to begin, this page will point you in the right direction.

Why Abruzzo?

We moved to Abruzzo after living in Campania for a few years, and we love it here. I am a massive fan of history, art, and everything Roman, so moving to Italy was a no-brainer. But living in Abruzzo made me fall in love with Italy in a whole new way.

It’s a stunning region with views that I will never tire of. We live in a town that predates the Romans. I can see the stunning mountains (capped with snow in the winter) and the sea every day I leave my house. I can go to the beach (no matter the season) or head to the mountains for some epic hikes.

Then there are the stunning cities, friendly locals and spectacular food. As a writer, traveller and adventurer, I knew I had to share it with others. That is why I started this blog. To share my corner of Italy and Abruzzo with others who want to see Italy at its finest.

About Abruzzo Travel Guide
